Where we're from

Niko Panousopoulos originally came to Mexico to escape a war torn Greece in 1920. While he initially began working in the mines of Cananea, Sonora – Mexico, he soon learned of a fellow Greek growing tomatoes for export in Culiacan, Sinaloa – Mexico. Using him as inspiration, he made his journey to Culiacan and began farming in 1926. Niko’s dedication and hard work have become a way of life at Delta Fresh. We have continued his way of business, producing safe and high quality produce for our customers to enjoy.
